Emily brings a warm and empathetic nature to all sessions but be prepared to do your homework- she’ll check.

Emily studied Musical Theatre at University before choosing to become a speech pathologist. She is also an amazing dancer! These days she is still very active in the singing, dance and performing world and she has also taken up musical directing as well over the past few years. The discipline & creativity that comes with performing arts training is certainly enriching our clinic.

Emily has a strong passion for speech pathology. She’s the kind of clinician we have to remind to go home already and rest! Emily reads journal articles on her weekends, always has a fun fact to share and makes the most beautiful learning materials. But let’s down to business!

What does Emily find fascinating about our scope? With her acting and music theatre background, she’s a super keen accent modification clinician. She also has a big heart for stuttering therapy and voice therapy.

Emily has a Bachelor of Arts (Musical Theatre) from the University of Ballarat (now Federation University) as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science/Master of Speech Pathology from La Trobe University. She is a certified practicing speech pathologist.

Daphne is a warm and friendly speech pathologist who is passionate about empowering individuals to develop authentic, confident, and effective communication.

Growing up, Daphne has moved across multiple cities in three different countries. And because of this, she understands that communication can be so inextricably linked with one’s identity.

What does Daphne find fascinating about our scope?

As a bilingual speaker herself, Daphne has a big heart for working with and advocating for individuals from various cultural and language backgrounds, as well as a special interest in stuttering therapy and social communication. She is determined to help you develop personalised and unique communication styles that truly reflects who you are.

When working with Daphne, you can trust her to deliver engaging, tailored sessions with a creative flair. She is always on the lookout for new research and is keen to partner with you to help you reach your specific goals and aspirations.

Outside of work, you’ll often find her doodling away on her iPad, watching interesting docu-series, and spending time with friends and family.

Meet Laura!

Laura has international experience as a Speech Pathologist and Teacher of English from her time living in London and southern Spain. And if there’s one thing she loves, it’s learning languages! Laura has studied Italian to mastery level and speaks advanced Spanish. Her overseas adventures have given her so much insight into the challenges and beauty of learning and living in foreign languages, and she applies all of this empathy to her interactions with clients.

What does Laura find fascinating about our scope?

She is always so honoured to help clients achieve their goals and communicative potential. She strives to make every session collaborative and flexible, tapping into what is most important for each of her clients.

Laura has an enormous soft spot for music and singing, and is currently pursuing studies in flamenco guitar, ¡Olé! Keep an eye out for her performing soppy love songs at weddings, jamming with Brazilian drumming groups and (she hopes one day) busking along Southbank!

Laura has a Bachelor of Arts (Italian and linguistics) and a Master of Speech Pathology from the University of Melbourne, and an Advanced Certificate in English Language Teaching. She is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist.
